Batman Beyond: Live-Action Movie Here's a scoop from Darkhorizons.com: The rumours are true - a live action version of the "Batman Beyond" animated series is in the works with the creators/producers of that show on the project. Paul Dini confirmed to the Comics Continuum that he and co-producer Alan Burnett will write a script for a live-action film version with Director Boaz Yakin ("Remember the Titans", "A Price Above Rubies") to helm (and co-write) it. Before you start debating over who should play Terry McGinnis, Derek Powers, Inque, etc. the team behind the show are busy preparing for the October 24th release of the feature-length video of the show which sees the return of 'The Joker' (voiced by Mark Hamill) and was written by Dini.
Batman 5 Ain't it cool news reports that there a definite possibility that Frank Miller (Batman: Year One, Batman: The Dark Knight Returns) may be co-writing the script along with rumored director Darren Aronofsky.
From now on, Warner Bros doesn't want people to call Batman 5 "Batman 5". They do not see it as a sequel and a continuation to the franchise. Apparently, the series will be starting over from the beginning, which gives proof to Batman: Year One being the movie. I, for one, think this is a good move because it would bring back all the classic villains killed in the first 3 Bat films.
